Small step big thought

One of the rooms in my house has beautiful wall art made by the previous owner . It has a statement that caught my eye - “ We are a way for the cosmos to know itself ". I was curious to know more and thus began my research on the life and work of Carl Sagan, a famous astrophysicist and planetary scientist to whom the quote is attributed . Carl Sagan was best known for his famous show on American Television - The Cosmos - A Personal Journey , that talked about the universe and evolution of life . In the opening episode Carl Sagan said the famous words, “ We are made of star stuff . We are a way for the cosmos to know itself .” He went on to talk about how you need to have imagination and scepticism in equal measure , to explore the universe and about how understanding the cosmos will help us understand our own self . I saw a video about making Dalgona coffee , the yummy frothy coffee that took the world by a storm, much like the Korean band BTS, that made it famous . Made with simple ingredients available in most household kitchens , it is the process of intense whipping to make coffee cream that gives the coffee its unique flavour . It got me thinking about the parallel of simple ideas that originate in our minds , which when combined with intense hard-work and fine tuning , ends up being an agent for positive change . An example that comes to my mind is that of using technology as a tool to communicate . Using written words to express thoughts is a concept that is as old as language itself . With the advent of Windows, usage of word processing software became easier . The development of touchscreen and laptops with super features,  like my MacBook,  has given me the ability to use written word as my voice and has opened up a window into my unique world .
